When is the parade?
On July 4th. The official parade starts at noon and typically lasts about 1 hour.


Where is the parade?
The parade begins near the intersection of Main Street and Highway 79 and proceeds through downtown Julian on Main Street and ends near Julian Beer Company. Visit the Directions page for a map.


What are the Pre-Parade Events?
Starting at 10:00 am, you can enjoy a variety of musical performances, shows and pie-eating contests. Check out the Schedule for more details.


Can I be in the parade?

You bet!! We encourage businesses, groups, organizations, musicians, bands and entertainers of all kinds to join in on the fun! Complete the Entry Form to be in the parade.


Is there anything happening after the parade?
Yes! Enjoy a fantastic barbecue at the American Legion. There will be live music and dancing too! Be sure to check out the Julian Woman’s Club Historic Quilt Show


What other things should I know?
1. Main Street closes to traffic at 9:00 am; follow directions to the nearest parking lot.
2. There are FREE public toilets located next to the brick building and behind Julian Town Hall.
3. The parade staging areas are at the Julian Elementary and Julian High Schools - participants only please.


How can I donate to the parade?

The Julian 4th of July Parade is a 501(c)4 nonprofit that relies solely on donations. Please support the parade by donating via a check (our mailing address is below), through PayPal or Venmo. If you would like to help us with fundraisers or have an item to donate to our fundraising efforts, please visit our Donate page.


Can I volunteer with parade committee?

Absolutely!! We can use your help! Our committee is made up of volunteers from all walks of life. You can volunteer as much or as little as you would like.
